Job Title: ย Event Production Specialist (Part-Time) - Orlando Radio

Position Overview

The Event Production Specialist for CMG Orlando Radio reports directly to the Events Director, and will assist in the planning, production, and execution of ticketed events, partner events, CMG-produced events, and various promotional events.

This role is an entry-level, part-time position, with the opportunity to potentially shadow current CMG employees and assist in event production, planning, marketing, promotions, sales, social media, and programming.

Exceptional communication skills and energetic personality are a requirement.ย  This role will require working nights, weekends, and holidays regularly, as well as the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparation and organization of all major events on the annual CMG event calendar
  • Responsible for event execution, to include setup, maintenance, teardown
  • Prepare and maintain event venues to receive visitors and host sponsors, with focus on safety and aesthetic
  • Effectively communicate with event production staff during all aspects of event preparation, execution, and tear down
  • Assist Event Director and Event Production Specialist in solicitation and vetting of potential vendors, including collecting service quotes and competitive analysis ย 
  • Engaging with the public at events which may require high levels of energy for several hours
  • Present themselves professionally on-site at events, in the office and on social media
  • Represent each radio station in the cluster through knowledge of, and passion for, the brands
  • Set up and break down of station sound and promotional equipment (tents, banners, speakers, audio PA system) at station events
  • Compose accurate and detailed event recaps for management
  • Effectively communicate with vendors, clients, and partners via email, phone and in-person
  • Assist in various departments throughout CMG Orlando Radio as needed, including but not limited to digital content, programming, sales, and engineering
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be a professional team player with customer focus and ability to take initiative and direction
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Highly adaptable and professional
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Adept at troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to remain calm and organized under pressure
  • Able to multi-task in a high-speed environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills including grammar, spelling and the ability to tailor copywriting to each stations' brand voice
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays throughout the year
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications
  • College coursework in marketing, public relations, digital media, preferred
  • Videography, event coordination, customer service and/or social media skills preferred
