Job description

Managing taxes is a critical part of an effective business strategy. As a Tax Consultant, you will support clients in analyzing the tax implications of business decisions, identifying opportunities to manage tax obligations, and addressing complex tax issues. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of clients, industries, and offerings while building technical knowledge, problem-solving capabilities, and client service experience.

As a Tax Consultant on the Tax team, you will be responsible for:

  • Researching tax laws, rules, and guidance to support client work.
  • Assisting with the analysis of tax issues, transactions, and reporting requirements.
  • Preparing work products and recommendations for client engagements.
  • Collaborating with team members to address technical tax matters.
  • Managing multiple assignments while meeting deadlines and quality expectations.

Qualifications

 
Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer or Fall 2027 or have completed a bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, or Taxation or a related/equivalent program 
  • Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required) 
  • Must meet minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure (which may differ from the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam) in the state of your assigned office location prior to beginning full-time employment 
  • You must reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required. You can expect to co-locate on average 2-3 times a week with variations based on types of work/projects and client locations 
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve 
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available 
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment 
  • The start date for this position will be Summer 2027 or Winter 2028

Preferred:

  • Coursework in information systems, data analytics, or tax technology
  • Internship, summer position, or school job in accounting, tax, or finance
