Job description

Peerless is searching for a skilled Engineer Mechanical/Electrical (ME/EE) to support designing and engineering advanced solutions for DoD/DoW. The selected candidate will contribute to the design, development, integration, and testing of complex mechanical and electrical systems supporting defense research, prototyping, and specialized test infrastructure. The Engineer ME/EE will participate in multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop mechanical solutions supporting mission systems, facilities, and prototype hardware.

Responsibilities include carrying designs through the full engineering lifecycle-from concept development and analysis through fabrication, integration, and testing. This position is on-site at Peerless Headquarters near Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB). Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or related technical discipline * Minimum 2+ years of experience performing design, development, prototyping, fabrication, and testing of mechanical/electrical parts and assemblies including engineering analysis * Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) tools (e.g.

Creo Parametric / Schematics, SolidWorks, etc.) for 2D/3D Computer Aided Design (CAD), drawings, Bill of Materials (BOM), version and change management * Experience with FEA and CFD tools (e.g., ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, Flow Simulation, or equivalent) * Ability to draft/review/approve engineering drawings, technical documentation, and presentations * Experience managing and supervising a team of mechanical and electrical engineers * Minimum active Secret security clearance required to start Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or related technical discipline * Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments (e.g. PTC Windchill, Teamcenter, AutoDesk, etc.) * Experience designing ruggedized/hardened systems for airborne platforms meeting MIL-STD-516 airworthiness and/or MIL-STD-8591 airborne stores criteria * Experience with Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) and Open Systems Architecture (OSA) technologies (e.g. AgilePod® family of systems, Sensor Open Systems Architecture® (SOSA®) hardware, etc.) * Experience integrating relevant Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) sensors, modalities, and systems (e.g.

Electro-Optical and Infrared (EO/IR), Synthetic Aperture Radar and Moving Target Indication (SAR/MTI), Radio Frequency (RF), etc.) * Experience supporting field tests, flight testing, and/or flag exercises using Contractor-Owned Contractor-Operated (COCO) / Government-Owned Government-Operated (GOGO) platforms * Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
