Performance Contracting is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing employee-owned organization as an entry-level Associate Project Engineer for its Spokane 554 operations based in Spokane, WA. 

The Associate Project Engineer role serves as a launching pad for future leaders within PCI. It's a dynamic position offering hands-on experience in project management and estimating, setting the stage for professional growth and career advancement in an innovative environment.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Conducting safety meetings
  • Creating and managing punch lists
  • Supporting the Quality Control Measures outlined in PCI’s QA/QC program
  • Preparing RFI’s and submittals
  • Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
  • Supporting the implementation of the job schedule
  • Coordinating warranties and O&M’s
  • Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing

This position is safety-sensitive.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000 annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.

Basic Requirements

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, Construction Engineering, Construction Science, or comparable work experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
  • A clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying new skills as they are taught
  • Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Must have critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and willingness to take initiative
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines
