Job Title: Harvest Processing Technician

Location: 1253 280th Rd, Seward, NE 68434ย 

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a half-hour lunch, Monday through Friday; some weekend and overtime during peak harvest season.ย 

There is NO laboratory component to this role. The hiring manager is flexible with start a start date of Sept 14th and end date of Dec 4th, but the bulk of the work will be in October and November.

Responsibilities:

Harvest Processing

  • We have openings for energetic and committed team members to support operations activities to support the Nebraska soybean breeding program.ย 
  • These are temporary, entry level positions for day shift only. Most activities are done with a team of technicians under the supervision of CLIENT full-time employees.ย 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:ย 

  • Harvest preparation.ย 
  • Data collection using Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Hand harvest of soybean.ย 
  • Machine and single head threshing.ย 
  • Seed processing.ย 
  • Seed inventory data collection and entry in Microsoft Word.
  • These positions will work both outdoors and indoors in variable conditions, with potential exposure to sun, heat, dust, and insects.

Qualifications:ย 

  • Agronomy, horticulture, biology, and/or crop experience preferred, but not required.ย 
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs.ย 
  • Basic computing skills in order to use Microsoft Office applications.ย 
  • Location: Milford, Nebraska.
