The Technician II, Process reports to the Process Engineer. The ideal candidate is responsible for maintaining and improving the process and production line KPI such as efficiency, yield, cost, productivity and reliability of the products. This role also involves conducting experiments, collecting and analysing engineering data for the resolution and prevention of production issues. The Process Technician will work closely with cross-functional team in the production line to keep machines and processes operational.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Resolve efficiency, yield, productivity, cost and reliability issues in the assigned process in a timely manner according to the set standards and procedures.
  • Perform the daily routine tasks as specified in the SOP, as assigned by the supervisor/ engineer and as required by the cross-functional production team.
  • Conduct process experiments to improve cell efficiency, process stability, yield, cost and productivity. Gather related experimental data, analyse results, write and present summary reports
  • Maintain accurate records specified in the process/machine parameter checklist.
  • Maintain analyse and improve statistical process control (SPC) charts. Perform action and adjustments to recover the process according to the OCAP in a timely manner
  • Gather 5M data, analyse, write and present reports to communicate production line issues.
  • Participate in the equipment maintenance and shutdown activities and recover the machine and process back in to operation in a timely manner. Write PM reports.
  • Attend daily process meetings to communicate issues to engineers, team leaders and supervisors, provide detailed handover information to the next shift.
  • Complete trainings to improve technical and problem solving skills.
  • Other activities and tasks assigned by supervisors

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Associate's degree in chemical, material science, microelectronics, or any related field
  • 1-3 years of experiences in solar cell industry or any related manufacturing industry. Positions/levels are commensurate of skills and experiences. Fresh graduates are qualified for entry level positions.
  • Responsible, able to complete tasks independently and on-time, with organizational and self-leadership skills, with strong technical, analytical and problem solving skill
  • Familiar in process engineering, production and quality systems
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in all aspects of process operational activities
  • Able to work overtime, off-shift or extended hours to realize 24/7 production requirement, support scheduled / unscheduled process and equipment recovery inside production line or any other situation deemed necessary by the supervisor
