Looking to fill up to 2 Full-Time (35+ hours per week) and 2 Part-Time positions (15-30 hours per week across our three centers in Murfreesboro, Tennessee depending on candidate availability & scheduling requirements) that would have a strong growth path including Shift Lead, Team Lead and multi-store management opportunities for driven individuals. Ideal candidates have flexible availability most weekdays from 7:45 AM - 7:30 PM and weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 8:15 AM - 4:30 PM. (For students, we work with school schedules as much as possible!)

Candidates with prior experience in a The UPS Store retail packaging/shipping center, print shop, FedEx Office, Staples, OfficeMax or Office Depot Print Center are HIGHLY encouraged to apply - starting compensation will be adjusted based on related experience and work history. Bonus and incentives available for all staff levels.

OVERVIEW

The Center Associate delivers world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options and exhibits confidence by knowing best practices related to the industry.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of previous customer service/retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor, and a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time.

This is an entry level retail customer service position, starting pay will be dependent on education and previous related experience. This position will be eligible for all employee incentive programs and/or bonus programs that are offered by management throughout the year. In addition, employees will receive regular review to determine raises and/or promotions. Students are strongly encouraged to apply!

Exceptional candidates with current or valid The UPS Store experience are eligible for sign-on bonus!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Understands and fulfills the needs of walk-in customers and telephone/email inquiries

Communicates effectively and continuously practices good listening with customers, co-workers, vendors, and leadership

Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience

Takes ownership of customers’ packing, shipping, and/or print problems and offers viable solutions

Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others

Frequently multi-tasks while maintaining extreme attention to detail and high quality control

Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment

Will open and/or close the store and perform end-of-day accounting, etc.

Takes action to learn NEW products, services, alternative solutions, and industry trends as well as occasionally reviewing/retraining on lesser used services

Completes tasks independently in a quick turn environment

Frequently multi-tasks while maintaining extreme attention to detail and high quality control

Helps with other Center functions as needed, such as faxing, copying, laminating, and binding

Helps customers with expert boxing and packaging, selling the appropriate products to ship materials safely and efficiently

Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

At least one year of retail\customer service experience

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suites

Outstanding phone skills

High energy level

Prompt, reliable, and responsible

Must have valid drivers license and vehicle to make local pickups and errands as needed

Neat, clean, and professional appearance

Non-smoking environment

Able to cross sell and up sell products and services
