Job description

Handheld Ink Jet Print Associate

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: minimum $18 an hour (Dependent on Experience)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30pm

Job Summary

This entry-level role supports production by using a hand-held ink jet printer to mark and identify metal parts for internal use. The position operates within a fast-paced job shop environment serving the power industry and requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to follow established processes.

 

Responsibilities

  • Use a hand-held ink jet printer to label and identify metal parts
  • Read and interpret basic prints (schematics) and measurements
  • Load and unload parts for internal transport after printing
  • Operate a pallet jack to move materials throughout the facility
  • Maintain organization and accuracy in part identification
  • Follow all work instructions, processes, and safety guidelines
  • Perform physical tasks including standing, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift
  • Lift materials ranging from 3 lbs. up to 50 lbs. as needed

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Ability to read or learn to read blueprints/schematics and use measuring tools (calipers)
    • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, or business software systems).
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to stand, bend, squat, reach, pull, and push throughout the shift.
    • Reliable attendance and ability to meet physical demands of the position.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Dependable, team-oriented, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must pass a drug screen and background check.
