The General Manager of Heibar Indiana will report directly to the Regional Director of Innovation and Efficiency and will work closely with the management team at our builder-partner, Arbor Homes. The General Manager will have responsibility of current and future site-built support operations, in addition to related support teams.
Position Charter
The Heibar Indiana General Manager (GM) will be leading the continued development and evolution of Heibar's facility in Morristown, Indiana. This site will partner heavily with other Heibar locations to ensure best practices are represented, while ensuring the site builds a strong process-based culture of customer focus and problem solving. The GM will lead all activities at the site, including work alongside department managers to ensure coordination in the effort to reach the organization's goals. Key deliverables include, but are not limited to: safety, quality, labor cost, and bill of material as a percentage of revenue, on-time delivery, inventory, productivity, ROA, customer experience (NPS), employee engagement and driving Clayton's culture and team member experience.
The GM Heibar Indiana will create and enhance scalable, best in class systems and processes. The successful candidate will develop a strong, collaborative partnership with the builder-partner, Arbor Homes. The GM Heibar will be exposed to the processes, equipment, and infrastructure required to quickly learn the Heibar business model, and the General Manager position is intended to be a launching pad for future multi-site leadership opportunity for the successful leader.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
• Demonstrates ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities and backgrounds within a diverse workforce and leads through conflict constructively with a drive towards resolution.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Arbor partners.
• Develop alignment between systems and processes for efficiencies and scalable solutions.

• Establish and enforce quality control standards to deliver products that meet/exceed customer expectations.

claims, hotline complaints, etc.)
• Translates strategic plans into actionable and timely programs for the workforce that support the Clayton Home Building Group mission, vision and values recognizing the differing needs of Supply facilities and Properties Group.
• Ability to travel 10-20%.

Education
• Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations, supply chain or relevant technical field from an accredited institution
• MBA from an accredited institution preferred.
Professional Qualifications
• Ten plus (10+) years of experience in increasingly responsible leadership roles in a multi-location manufacturing environment, with 5-years experience in senior management desired.
• Demonstrated success in strategic efforts to drive safety, quality, consistent performance, and productivity.
• Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect, while empowering and motivating team members in a creative and effective manner
• Experience in leading the design, development, and implementation of improved manufacturing processes.
• Extensive knowledge of P&L management, manufacturing processes, quality control and supply chain management.
• The individual should have strong intellect combined with a practical and realistic common-sense understanding of how to get things done.
• Demonstrated high performance with year over year improvement in key measurables and the ability to inspire the team to meet high standards.
• Has demonstrated leadership with High Performance Teams to drive engagement & performance.
