Position Overview:
The Machine Operator plays a crucial role in our production process by ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery in accordance with established procedures and specifications. The primary objective is to consistently produce high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
Adhere to the established schedule, including starting and stopping times, to maintain operational efficiency.
Conduct thorough inspections of assigned tasks at the start of each shift and after breaks.
Ability to work rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Lift packages weighing up to twenty pounds frequently.
Strictly comply with corporate absenteeism and tardiness policies.
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for up to twelve continuous hours.
Communicate promptly with the supervisor about any problems or concerns.
Properly identify yarn packages for lots running on assigned production lines.
Execute all job procedures with precision.
Patrol the job area, ensuring all positions are running smoothly.
Report any quality or run-ability issues to the supervisor promptly.
Label yarn for identification purposes.
Immediately address and repair any equipment breakouts.
Assist in changeovers following proper procedures.
Initial labeling before placing on the finished package.
Report mechanical problems promptly to the supervisor and assigned technician.
Follow waste prevention procedures to minimize environmental impact.
Maintain high housekeeping standards in the work area.
Inspect yarn according to established procedures.
