Position Summary

RTG is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Repair Technician Level 1 to join our team at our headquarters in Fenton, Missouri.

In this role, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and refurbish POS and POS-related equipment to ensure all devices meet RTG quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical aptitude, a passion for problem-solving, and a desire to grow within the technology industry.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair POS and POS-related equipment, including:
    • Point of sale terminals
    • Impact printers
    • Thermal printers
    • Ink jet printers
    • Servers
    • Network switches and routers
    • Workstations
    • Kitchen video systems
  • Refurbish equipment and ensure all repairs meet RTG quality standards
  • Meet required weekly production goals
  • Maintain an organized and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to support operational efficiency
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Strong understanding of basic electronics and troubleshooting processes
  • Proficient with basic hand tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to take direction and remain composed in a fast-paced setting
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
Preferred Education & Experience
  • Some college coursework in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of PC hardware and troubleshooting
  • Previous Point of Sale (POS) experience is a plus, but not required
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in a climate-controlled warehouse/shop environment
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching
  • Regular lifting and moving of items over 25 pounds
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
