Job description

Description:

Edwards Auto Group in Council Bluffs, IA is looking for an entry level HRIS/Payroll Assistant to join the team! The ideal candidate will have previous experience in both HR and basic payroll related functions. The HR/Payroll Assistant will assist both Payroll and HR in all daily office functions including ALL "New Hire" Onboarding, pre-employment verifications, including Onboarding, DL & background checks.


This position is full-time M-F 8am-5pm.

Salary: $50-$60k annually


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for onboarding โ€“ and all pre-employment verifications, including DL, Background check etc
  • Processing payroll including, daily timecards, verifying, approving commissions and more
  • Responsible for data entry- making sure new employees are entered accurately into the payroll system
  • Assist with the new-hire onboarding process
  • Assist HR director with daily HR functions (benefits, disciplinary actions etc)
  • Enter Benefit eligibility info into the system.
  • Verifying the accuracy of data on spreadsheets
Requirements:


  • Microsoft Excel & Word experience is required
  • Previous New Hire Onboarding experience is highly preferred
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records
  • Ability to retain information
  • Previous Payroll and HR experience is required
  • Positive attitude and team focused demeanor
  • Proficient typing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
