Job Overview:
The Settlement Support Specialist is an important entry-level member of the legal team, responsible for supporting the settlement payment process and helping ensure clients receive exceptional service during the final stages of their case. Through effective communication, organization, and follow-through, this role contributes to the timely resolution of claims and an overall positive client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients, insurance companies, and other parties regarding settlement-related documents, payments, and next steps.
- Assist with the preparation, collection, review, and organization of insurance-related documents, including releases, affidavits, and other settlement paperwork.
- Maintain accurate records of case activity, communications, documents, and payment information.
- Prepare and update payment logs, helping ensure payments are received and outstanding items are followed up on in a timely manner.
- Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other team members to support the settlement process.
- Respond to client questions regarding the settlement process.
- Coordinate with internal departments to a positive client experience.
