Job description


As the Application Administrator, you will play a critical role in the support of the Pricing Tool application and Fusion integrations support. You will also play a backup role for support of the other Fusion modules, including Project, Accounting, GL, Procurement, Human Resources, and Benefits.
This role requires a desire to learn and grow, both technically and functionally. The Application Administrators at Terracon work closely with our functional Product Managers to ensure user issues and concerns are addressed fully, efficiently and effectively. As time progresses, you will build a strong bond with both IT and functional leadership for the business modules you focus on.
This is an IT Applications entry-level position.
Responsibilities
  • Manage issues that are escalated from the Service Desk (SD), Product Manager (PM), and key business users. (via ServiceNow)
  • Escalate issues to your manager or PM as necessary to ensure positive resolution
  • Document thoroughly the solutions implemented to resolve user issues
  • Identify and document consistent errors/issues and raise awareness to your manager and SD managers
  • Communicate openly with your manager and PM when a larger than normal volume of issues is logged by users
  • Conduct initial system testing for bug fixed and enhancements, as assigned by a development manager, and document pass/fail results
  • Have a high level of computer security awareness
  • Work collaboratively with other Application Administrators to ensure timely discovery of issues and resolutions on system outages
  • Maintain a moderate and increasing level of proficiency in software and other technologies supported by the IT Department
  • Participate in a culture of continuous improvement within the Fusion Support team.
  • Actively maintain a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT and Pricing Tool teams
  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all work.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in computer related field preferred
  • Legal to work in the US; this is not a sponsorship position
  • Knowledge of SQL is required
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion is preferred
  • Knowledge of relational database structure is preferred
  • Knowledge of issue management systems such as ServiceNow or Azure DevOps
  • Understanding financial concepts relating to project cost/bill rate, margin, labor, other direct costs is desirable
  • Comfortable with an Agile development mindset
  • Ability to engage with an established, distributed (including offshore) agile delivery team
  • Possess investigative mindset and a passion for root-cause analysis
  • Ability to work empathically with users experiencing change or difficult issues.

Knowledge in multiple of the following is preferred:
  • SharePoint
  • Microsoft T-SQL
  • Oracle PL/SQL
  • Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server
  • One or more UI coding languages
  • Oracle Fusion
  • Functional knowledge of one or more Oracle Fusion modules
