As a member of this fast-paced, leading-edge database and applications company, you will serve as the technical expert for end-user computing (EUC) and device architecture across a 24x7 health system. You will design, standardize, and evolve the enterprise endpoint ecosystem, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable delivery of end-user devices and associated technologies.

This role works closely with Support Technicians, Systems Administrators, Security, and Infrastructure teams to define standards, optimize device performance, and improve the overall end-user experience. You will act as the bridge between operational support and strategic infrastructure planning, ensuring consistency, automation, and compliance across all endpoint environments

US: Hiring Range in USD from $35.63 to $71.30 per hour; from: $74,100 to $148,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

As a Device Architect, you will:

Endpoint Architecture & Strategy

  • Define and maintain the enterprise endpoint architecture for desktops, laptops, and virtual/remote devices. 
  • Establish and govern hardware and operating system standards across the organization. 
  • Evaluate, select, and standardize end-user computing technologies, including imaging, provisioning, and lifecycle tools. 
  • Design scalable models for device deployment, configuration, and management. 

Lifecycle Management & Engineering

  • Assist in defining policies for OS version control, application deployment, and hardware refresh cycles. 
  • Develop standardized device configurations for security, performance, and compliance. 

Automation & Optimization

  • Lead automation initiatives for device provisioning, software deployment, and configuration management. 
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual support effort through scripting, policy-driven management, and self-healing systems. 

Technical Governance & Standards

  • Create and maintain technical standards, documentation, and architectural roadmaps for endpoint environments. 
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and enterprise IT policies. 
  • Review and approve changes to endpoint configurations, images, and deployment workflows. 

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Act as escalation point for complex endpoint issues requiring architectural insight. 
  • Collaborate with Support Technicians to improve troubleshooting processes and reduce incident volume. 
  • Partner with Security teams to ensure endpoint hardening, encryption, and vulnerability remediation. 

Incident & Problem Management Leadership

  • Lead root cause analysis for systemic endpoint issues and define long-term corrective actions. 
  • Use trend analysis from support incidents to drive architectural improvements.  
  • Guide knowledge transfer efforts to elevate support team capabilities. 

Project & Initiative Leadership

  • Lead endpoint-related infrastructure projects such as OS migrations, device refresh programs, and enterprise rollouts. 
  • Provide architectural input for new application and hardware introductions. 
  • Participate in enterprise planning for future workplace technology needs.
