Shop Assistant
$2,000 HIRING BONUS
 
 Job Responsibilities 
  • Drives a motor vehicle (automobile, utility van, pickup, light truck, etc.) up to 26,000 pounds gross vehicle weight (GVW) on the public highways to transport non-hazardous materials or equipment
  • Loads and unloads vehicles
  • Performs a variety of production duties, such as: tending machines, handling product, visual sorting or inspection, packing, or performing other operations
  • Assist large machine operators with setups, adjustments and operations
  • Assist with assembly and erection operations, involving the handling of heavy weight materials, tools and equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Approximate Percent of Work Duties:

Job Requirements 
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Valid driverโ€™s license
  • Requires the ability to follow directions
  • Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, and operations
  • Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • 0-2 years of experience
 
Work Environment:  Well-lit, clean and air conditioned machine shop with moderate noise.  Staff members will need to be able to work while standing, sitting, bending, and climbing.  Staff members will do frequent lifting.
