Storage Engineer
Location : New York or Chicago
Our client, a global, multi-strategy asset management firm, is hiring a Storage Engineer to work on their global, multi-petabyte storage system across public cloud and on-prem sites. They are looking for an experienced Storage Engineer to join their team and help them with data lifecycle, capacity management, data classification and infrastructure as code. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with Portfolio Managers and other business stakeholders to understand their needs and enable them to efficiently use our storage platforms.
As Storage Engineer, you will:
  • Handle block, file and object storage platforms on-prem and in the public cloud.
  • Further our automation efforts around storage provisioning and data lifecycle.
  • Create robust monitors around performance, capacity and efficiency.
  • Define acceptable use patterns for each storage system, guide teams towards these patterns and hold teams accountable to misuse.
  • Engineer tools and automation for routine disaster recovery tests across all storage platforms.
  • Partner with application developers across the firm and enable their success.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and maintenance.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Compensation: For NY, CA, and IL based applicants, the starting base pay range for this role is between $125,000 to $250,000. This role may also be eligible for bonus compensation and employee benefits.
