General Summary and Purpose:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry Level Paralegal ("Paralegal") to join our Legal team. In this role, you will provide essential support in the onboarding and administration of derivatives and brokerage trading agreements, including ISDA Master Agreements ("ISDAs"), Futures & Options Agreements ("F&O Agreements"), Master Securities Forward Transaction Agreements ("MSFTAs") , Account Control Agreements ("ACAs") with mutual fund Custodians, i, and other trading-related contracts.. Paralegal will work closely with numerous departments within Victory -- including Investments, Operations, Product, Legal, Compliance, and Client Services -- as well as with various Victory service providers, and Victory clients. The Paralegal will be in a unique position to learn how derivatives and brokerage trading agreements are used in the investment management process. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to build a career in financial services, law, or compliance.
You will report to the Associate General Counsel.
You Will:
  • Trade Agreement Onboarding: Assist in the review, revision, tracking, and processing of trading agreements (for new agreements and amendments), including ISDAs, F&O Agreements, MSFTAs, ACAs, Give Up Agreements, and other counterparty documentation.
  • Document Management: Maintain and organize legal document repositories; ensure executed agreements are accurately filed and indexed in contract management systems.
  • Counterparty Coordination: Communicate with external counterparties, clients, , and custodians to facilitate the timely collection and execution of required documentation.
  • Due Diligence Support: Assist with KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) documentation gathering, to facilitate the counterparty onboarding process.
  • Legal Research: Conduct basic legal and regulatory research to support the Victory Legal Group on matters related to securities law, derivatives regulation, and trading compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Investments, Trading, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure seamless agreement execution and onboarding workflows.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate status logs and dashboards for all pending and executed agreements; provide regular status updates to senior legal staff.
  • Policy Support: Assist in drafting and updating internal procedures related to trade documentation and counterparty onboarding.

You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Finance, Business, or a related field; OR an Associate's degree with a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program.

Target Compensation:
The target base salary range for this position is $68,000 - $80,000.
Salaries are determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications.
