Job description

Higginbotham, a privately held, independent insurance and financial services firm that ranks within the top 20 nationwide, has an immediate opening for a Retirement Plan Services Account Manager for our Houston, TX office.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Retirement Services Team at Higginbotham. The Retirement Plan Services Account Manager position is responsible for providing exceptional services to our clients in both in a support role within the Retirement Services Team as well as directly to our clients and partners. This position provides a unique opportunity for the proper candidate to gain valuable experience with financial markets as well as practical skills in mutual fund research and client services.   

Some of the responsibilities for the Retirement Plan Services Account Manager include:

  • Operating Investment Reporting Software to create Plan Review Reports
  • Assisting in the creation and construction of materials for presentation to clients
  • Assisting in tracking of important plan deadlines
  • Assist in developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners
  • Developing an understanding of retirement plan industry
  • Developing a basic understanding of plan design and compliance
  • Work with our partnering service providers on service enhancements and product developments to meet the needs of our clients

Location:

  • Houston, TX

Education:

  • Business Degree or equivalent work experience

Experience:

  • This role is designed for an entry-level candidate however prior experience in the retirement plan industry and/or the field of finance/investments is a plus.
  • Must have your Series 65 license.
