Internal Sales Associate

Structured Products

The Advisors Asset Management Internal Sales Associate will work within our Distribution Division in a team environment focusing on new and existing client relationships to increase sales among our growing product lines across all asset classes with a focus on Structured Products.

This entry-level associate opportunity provides a platform to learn about wholesaled distribution of financial services products in a highly competitive environment. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that combines hands on leadership, functional training and development.

In our structured program, you will be tasked with completing required training, mastering assessments, obtaining industry licenses and certification (FINRA Series 7 amp; 63 and SIE) and meeting minimum performance standards. Once duly licensed, our ideal candidate will successfully cultivate new business and expand existing relationships by balancing sales activities and customer service.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scheduling meetings for the Structured Product Sales Consultants

Prospecting new and existing advisors

Collaborating with the other members within the POD(s) and working together on opportunities to increase business.

Profile financial advisors to obtain information that will assist the client in reaching stated objectives

Maintain current knowledge of all markets and AAM analytics and market commentaries

Provide exceptional customer service and financial services advice consistent with the client objectives

Meet stated activities determined by the Sales Manager; Phone, Email and scheduled meetings

Work within a Team Territory at AAM by providing leads internally to help grow other products distributed by AAM

Perform other job-related duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Financial services industry experience a plus

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Licensing: Will work to obtain the SIE Securities Industry Essentials Certification and FINRA Series 7, 63 licensing

QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess strong interpersonal skills and be a motivated self-starter

Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes

Strong analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills

Excellent oral and written communications skills, presentation experience a plus

Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize
