Job Summary:
JOB SUMMARY
The Clinic Office Assistant shall be responsible for the administrative functions within the medical office. Duties include scheduling patient appointments, following corporate protocol for patient check-in and patient check-out, understanding collection procedures, verifying multiple insurance packages, and completing medical records requests in a timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Observes professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical or employment status of patients of HRMC/Clinic and their families.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Provides excellent customer service skills when dealing with patients, families and/or significant others, outside vendors, co-workers and physicians
• Prepares for next day appointments and notifies patients of any appointment delays.
• Dresses neatly and appropriately in compliance with dress code.
• Travels to other clinics as requested to prevent staffing shortages
• Assists co-workers during down time.
• Assists in all other duties as assigned.
