**This position is for a Supervisor over the Centralized Prior Authorization Team (CPAT). Prior authorization experience is strongly preferred.**

Job Summary
Position is responsible for administering, directing, planning and coordinating all clerical and office activities. Oversees daily office operations and delegates authority to assigned staff. Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary. Ensures that office is staffed appropriately. Oversees office payroll and leave records. Oversees and ensures that daily operations operate according to office procedures. Responsible for supervising accounts receivable posting/balancing, reviewing and processing delinquent accounts for proper handling or payment arrangements, collections, or indigent follow-up. Responsible for review, coding and timely return of invoices to accounting. Works closely with Office Manager.
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum Years of Experience: One year of experience working in a medical/physician practice setting
• Substitutable Education & Experience: None
• Required Certifications/Licensure: None
• Required Training: Medical Terminology, ICD-9, and CPT coding experience

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for supervising accounts receivable posting/balancing, reviewing and processing delinquent accounts for proper handling or payment arrangements, collections, or indigent follow-up.
  • Responsible for review, coding and timely return of invoices to accounting.
  • Works closely with Practice Manager.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
