What we're looking for in a Medical Data entry processor

To excel as a Full-Time Medical Data Entry Processor at Injury Management Organization, Inc., candidates must possess a diverse set of skills and knowledge essential for the role. A strong understanding of CPT and ICD-9/10 codes, and medical terminology is crucial for accurately entering data from records. You should be adept at examining medical records for completeness and accuracy, displaying high proficiency in data entry with exceptional ten-key skills by touch. Strong oral and written communication abilities will facilitate effective collaboration within our team.

Ideal applicants will have 2-3 years of experience in high level data entry, medical terminology and Texas workers' compensation claims, coupled with critical thinking skills to navigate complex billing scenarios. This combination of competencies ensures that you contribute meaningfully to our mission of delivering reliable and quality services in the healthcare industry. MUST RESIDE WITHIN THE HOUSTON, TEXAS AREA!!

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in medical terminology
  • Proficient with ICD-10 and CPT codes
  • Skilled in examining medical records for completeness and accuracy
  • Expert Ten-key by touch / Typing 45 WPM
  • Workers' compensation experience preferred
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
