Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated entry-level Mechanical Engineer to support our design and drafting team. This role focuses on creating detailed mechanical/fabrication drawings, revising designs, and assisting with project documentation. It's an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience and grow within a practical engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D mechanical/fabrication drawings
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on design updates and improvements
  • Verify dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications
  • Assist with bill of materials (BOM) development
  • Support project documentation and technical files
  • Ensure drawings meet company and industry standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing or fabrication processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Internship or academic project experience in drafting or design
  • Experience creating fabrication or manufacturing drawings
  • Familiarity with GD&T principles
  • Exposure to sheet metal, machining, or structural design

Work Environment & Schedule:

  • Onsite position in Pineville, Louisiana
  • Monday-Thursday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM - 2:30 PM
  • Office-based with occasional shop or production floor exposure
