Job description
  • We are currently seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer/ Manufacturing Engineering/ Quality Engineer/ Engineer Product to join our heavy Machine Manufacturing company. The Mechanical Engineer will participate in the design and construction administration for small to medium-sized projects and work as part of a larger design team for large projects.

Responsibilities:
  • Development of plans, sections, schedules, details, controls, cost estimates, and specifications
  • Mechanical system selection, energy and life cycle cost analysis, knowledge of relevant codes and guidelines, sustainable design, interdisciplinary coordination, and communication with project stakeholders are key considerations
  • Canadian Citizens and Mexicans can also apply. We can help them with TN-Permit.

Looking for two types of people:
  • Looking for a fresh grad with some electrical and PLC programming experience or background, even a 2-years degree.
  • Nice to have someone with more experience and background as well. Don't want a job jumper, need someone long term
  • 33% of PLC/troubleshooting. Get online with a machine and determine why things are down or won't run
  • 33% spent on small projects, adding a processor to a machine, updating AutoCAD electrical print, working with skilled trade resources to complete the job
  • 33% is large project focused, helping other do electrical prints,
  • Hawkeye Community College (Industrial Automation program, Electronics program, Industrial Maintenance program), Northeast Iowa Community College (Industrial Electrician program), Northwest Iowa Community College (Instrumentation and Controls Degree)
  • High school diploma with relevant experience would be considered
  • Don't do a lot of robotics work in this role.
