The Role

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Network Field Technician to join our growing team in the Charlotte, NC area. In this hands-on role, you will install, maintain, and repair network infrastructure and customer equipment in multifamily and mixed-use properties. You will work both independently and as part of a team to activate services, troubleshoot issues, and deliver excellent on-site support.

Key Responsibilities


Install, maintain, and repair fiber optic and network infrastructure

Perform customer internet installations and repairs

Activate electronics (power up equipment and load configurations from engineering work packages)

Identify, organize, and stage equipment needed for work orders

Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Provide professional, customer-focused service during installations and service calls

Document work completed and report issues as needed

Support other low-voltage systems as required (structured cabling, related network components)


Requirements


High school diploma or equivalent

Valid North Carolina driver’s license and clean driving record

Reliable transportation

Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills

Ability to work independently in the field and follow detailed instructions

Willingness to learn technical skills on the job

Ability to lift equipment, work in various property environments (including attics, basements, outdoor areas), and follow safety protocols

Availability for a full-time schedule (some flexibility or occasional after-hours/on-call support may be required)


Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)


Prior experience with fiber optic cabling, structured cabling (Cat5/Cat6), or low-voltage installations

Basic networking knowledge or customer service experience in a technical field

Familiarity with tools used in cable installation and testing
