Your Role

As an Entry-Level Material Handler, you will play an important role in keeping production operations running smoothly by safely moving materials and products to and from manufacturing areas. You will operate material-handling equipment such as hand trucks and vertical lift machines, while accurately entering and verifying material transactions in the company's systems. This role is ideal for someone who is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties Include:

  • Perform basic material handling duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Specifications and GMP standards.
  • Duties will also include packing, scanning, labeling, and counting materials.
  • Verify accuracy of orders and complete documentation per GMP standards.
  • Ensure a clean and orderly workspace.
  • Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns. Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the work area and the site.
  • Participate in sustainability efforts.
  • Communicate and participate in shift changeover with colleagues and leads.
  • Escalate issues to the next level (operations, lead, supervisor, etc.) to prevent excessive downtime/scrap material.
  • Works under close supervision.

Physical Attributes

  • Exposure to machinery and equipment in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to chemicals and other hazardous materials.
  • Must pass a Visual Acuity test.
  • 100% Standing for duration of shift, up to 12 hours.
  • Frequent lifting of 20 - 30 lbs. necessary/Max lifting – 40 to 50 lbs.
  • Bend and twist as needed.
  • Must be able to grasp, manipulate and handle objects consistently and regularly, Fine motor skills are required.
  • Work in a clean room environment.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1+ years of work experience.
  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced warehouse, material handling, or manufacturing team environment.
  • Basic knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • Read, follow and understand operating procedures and documentation.
  • Chemical handling experience.
  • Experience with multitasking operations.

Pay Range for this position: $17.00-$27.00 per hour

The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
