Industrial Engineer (Entry Level)
Company:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Industrial Engineer (Entry Level) to join the Industrial Engineering Team based out of North Charleston, South Carolina.
This position will require someone who thrives in a very dynamic/fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will fulfill a dynamic range of responsibilities that are expected to change and evolve often. The ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment is paramount to being a successful Industrial Engineer with The Boeing Company.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Applies basic industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements.
  • Supports the development of plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows.
  • Assists with designing, maintaining, and optimizing the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.
  • Develops simple models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders.
  • Supports research, design, develop, improve, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.
  • Supports implementation plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods. Documents product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices.
  • Supports the preparation of operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met.
  • Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices.
  • Provides production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support. Follows compliance requirements with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry
  • Skilled in effective time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment.
  • Experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.
  • Experience working in Microsoft Office Suite products.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent with effective time management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • 1 or more years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing and/or production environment.
  • 1 or more years of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes.
  • 1 or more years of experience working in Microsoft Office Suite products.
