Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an entry level Manufacturing Technician to join our Norfolk VA team. The manufacturing technician will repair and overhaul circuit breakers, sub-assemblies, and related electrical equipment and perform evaluations, maintenance, and repairs on circuit breakers to ensure optimal performance.
Essential Functions:
  • Replace or repair faulty components, such as contacts, coils, and insulation.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests using specialized equipment to identify issues with circuit breakers and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems, and non-conformances.
  • Perform current injection, insulation resistance testing, contact resistance testing, and other relevant tests to verify the integrity of circuit breakers.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluation and repair activities, including test results and inspections.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Work with other departments as needed in a professional manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Work as an individual contributor on routine tasks, under close supervision.

Qualifications:
  • Requires minimal job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 0 to 3 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to work 3 rd shift from 10:30PM - 7:00AM
  • Able to use MS Office (Excel, Word, Etc.)
  • Ability to explain facts and practices related to job area.
  • Effectively communicate with contacts typically within the team on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement.
  • Must have a positive attitude, self-motivated with the ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within defined time limitations.

The salary range for this role in Virginia (outside of Greater D.C. area) is $36,920-63,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays.
