The administrative assistant will assist with administrative tasks, assist in functions related to scheduling, procurement, customer service, and shipping, and assist HR staff in various HR functions.
Essential Job Functions and Qualifications
  • Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies.
  • Perform functions related to scheduling, procurement, customer service and/or shipping of products.
  • Plan and coordinate schedule line change over and production runs according to customer demand.
  • Update multiple accounting and financial functions from and well as data entry into JD Edwards and other software.
  • Maintain plant level accounting functions to include raw material and finished goods inventory management.
  • Inputting customer feedback into the Quality Database & Customer Feedback Database.
  • Process request for leaves of absence and short or long term disability applications.
  • Perform multiple accounting and financial functions from an administrative.
  • Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation.
  • Assists with coordinating and follow-up in regards to the hourly personnel recruitment process with Plant Manager.
  • Edit, monitor and maintain all facets of plant human resources.
  • Process payroll functions accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Track employee attendance points and advise management when employees reach warning threshold.
  • Be Self-Motivated
  • Take the initiative to learn as much as you can from the people you work with and ask for more work if you think you can handle it.
  • Thrive in a multi-tasking environment where you work independently with little supervision or direction.
  • Tackle new tasks every day that may or may not be within the typical scope of an Administrative Assistant and use your determined personality to accomplish the tasks with excellence.

  • Allow for lines of communication to always be open, whether it is between you and the Senior Leadership Team, or peers, subordinates, and other office members.

Targeted Pay Rate:
$23.00
  • Reasonable mandatory overtime may be required due to business needs.

Required:
  • At least 2 years previous experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite programs such as Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Literacy in English as well as strong editing abilities.
  • Ability to follow through with documentation.
  • HR and Accounting experience desired.
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills! Communication is KEY to success in this job!

Preferred:
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to adapt as workloads can fluctuate by season.
  • Strong general administrative skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
