About the Role:

The Video & Analytics Assistant for Women's Basketball provides support for the program's video operations, analytics activities, scouting preparation, and recruiting efforts. This entry-level position assists the coaching staff with the collection, organization, and analysis of game film and performance data to support game preparation, player development, and recruiting activities. The Video & Analytics Assistant is responsible for filming practices and games, organizing video libraries, preparing scouting materials, maintaining recruiting databases, and assisting with the production of video and graphic content. The position also supports the implementation and maintenance of basketball technology platforms and assists with training and supervising student managers. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to gain experience in collegiate athletics, basketball operations, analytics, video coordination, and recruiting support. The Video & Analytics Assistant must demonstrate a commitment to supporting a competitive NCAA Division I Women's Basketball program while contributing to an environment that promotes the health, safety, welfare, and academic success of student-athletes. Compliance with NCAA rules is of the utmost importance at Northern Kentucky University. As a member of the Athletics Department staff, the Video & Analytics Assistant is expected to understand and comply with all applicable NCAA, conference, and university rules and regulations. Any known or suspected violations must be reported immediately to the Head Women's Basketball Coach, Director of Athletics, or their designee.

Advanced scouting and video operations:

Film, capture and live-code all practices, scrimmages and home games

Break down opponent game film utilizing Hudl and Synergy Sports platforms

Create detailed video edits highlighting opponent set plays and individual player habits

Managing the mandatory NCAA Division l and conference video exchange protocols

Distributing video packages directly to student-athletes for remote study

Data Analytics & Performance Tracking:

Analyze advanced team metrics including lineup efficiency and points per possession

Translate complex statistical datasets into simple, actionable visual dashboards for coaches

Build data-driven predictive models to optimize in-game adjustments and matchups

Compile comprehensive post-game analytical reports evaluating tactical execution

Recruiting Support & Creative Content:

Build video and statistical profiles for transfer portal and high school targets

Maintain a comprehensive video database of targeted recruits for staff evaluation

Collaborate with creative staff to produce motivational team videos and season highlights

Make recruiting graphics for social media and mailouts

Technology & Staff Management

Maintain, inventory and troubleshoot all camera gear and software licenses

Supervise, schedule and train student managers

Ensure the program remains at the forefront of basketball analytics technology

Maintain absolute compliance with all NCAA, conference and university rules
