Job Summary
Professional Search Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, analysis, and development of mechanical systems and components across various projects. This is an exciting opportunity for recent graduates or those with limited professional experience to build a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles while working on innovative solutions. Duties

  • Assist in creating detailed mechanical designs using CAD tools such as SolidWorks and Creo, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
  • Support the development of schematics, technical drawings, and system layouts following GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards.
  • Participate in project scheduling activities to ensure timely completion of design phases and deliverables.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical issues identified during testing or manufacturing, proposing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize processes, including CNC machining, 3D printing, and assembly procedures.
  • Perform basic finite element analysis (FEA) and simulations using tools like MATLAB, Simulink, or LabVIEW to validate mechanical concepts.
  • Assist in system design activities involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Arduino platforms, or other automation components for integrated systems.
  • Contribute to the creation of technical documentation, including schematics, drafting reports, and compliance with ASME codes & standards.
  • Support testing activities by preparing prototypes, conducting measurements, and analyzing data to improve product performance.
  • Engage in continuous learning about quantum engineering applications and advanced manufacturing techniques to enhance project outcomes.

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo is required; experience with drafting and schematics is preferred.
