Sample Management / Laboratory Technician

Location: Covington, KY
Pay: $18.70/hour
Schedule: Second Shift — Tuesday–Saturday, 4:00 PM–12:30 AM
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Sample Management / Laboratory Technician to support laboratory operations in Covington, KY. This entry-level position provides training in sample and standard handling, inventory tracking, documentation, and laboratory support.

The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, safety-conscious, and able to follow detailed procedures while working with modest direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sample and inventory tracking activities, including receipt, check-in, login, labeling, inventory, transport, and check-out.

  • Provide administrative support to the Sample Management department and Sample Coordinator.

  • Follow SOPs, client procedures, regulatory guidelines, and storage requirements.

  • Maintain accurate and detailed sample records and documentation.

  • Communicate task status, updates, and concerns to supervisors and laboratory staff.

  • Support responses to environmental unit alarms and participate in on-call responsibilities when required.

  • Complete daily assignments accurately, on time, and safely.

  • Work collaboratively with laboratory personnel to fulfill sample and laboratory requests.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Relevant academic, vocational, or technical training is a plus.

  • 0–1 year of relevant experience preferred; equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.

  • Ability to learn and follow detailed SOPs and laboratory procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to maintain clear, organized, and accurate documentation.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Commitment to safety and established procedures.

$18.70/hour
Tuesday–Saturday | 4:00 PM–12:30 AM (Second Shift)

Pay Details: $18.70 per hour
