JOB TITLE: Dishwasher / Prep Cook
DIVISION: Food and Beverage
REPORTS TO: Honeycomb Grill Chef
LOCATION: Honeycomb Grill Restaurant
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time/ Seasonal/ Hourly
POSITION:
Solitude is looking for a committed and easygoing individual who has a passion for the food industry. The prep cook is an entry-level position under the supervision of the sous chef and head chef. The prep cook will assist in the culinary operation of the restaurant kitchen. The dishwashing part of the job is to ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, silverware, glasses, and kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitized condition. SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1-2 years of experience working as a dishwasher or prep cook
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to work in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment, dishwashing equipment, cleaning equipment, and all cleaning detergents, etc.
  • Ability to assist kitchen staff with cleaning and necessary food prep
  • Ability to take orders and work in a high-pressure, fast-moving environment
  • Follow company policy and procedures as set forth in the handbook
  • Ability to obtain and maintain current, valid state-required licenses and or certifications such as Food Handler’s Permit.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Actively participate in all kitchen cleaning duties, including station tear down, dishwashing, equipment cleaning, sweeping, moping, etc.
  • Assist Kitchen Manager with receiving orders - to ensure proper rotation and storage of cold and dry storage areas
  • Exceptional communication skills required
  • Ability to take direction
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time and lifting up to 40lbs.
