Target Weekly Hours 20
Location 1000 N Glebe (Ballston Center)
This position is temporary and will last until the end of the grant on September 30, 2026.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with community and campus outreach
• Manage databases related to program participant information (manage and maintain private information)
• Draft distribution materials and other communications to program participants and stakeholders
• Photocopies and filings
• Basic research on job search resources and entry level IT careers
• Provides day-to-day support such as maintaining calendars, greeting visitors, providing general information regarding the university and procedures, answering phone calls and email queries, drafting correspondence for manager's approval, ordering supplies, and helping organize special events.
• Leads special projects and functions as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Must hold a high school diploma/ GED; Bachelor's degree (BA, BS, etc.) preferred Experience 1-2 years of related experience. Supporting management preferably in an academic environment. Preferred experience with workforce development program.
Special Knowledge Microsoft Office to include proficient skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Effective communications and interpersonal skills. Ability to delegate work and manage projects with limited supervision.
