Job description

Nox Group of Companies is currently seeking an IT Technician to join our growing team.  

Location: Reno / Sparks, NV near USA Parkway

This position is responsible for handling first- and second-level support of service requests. This relates to all technology, including workstations, servers, printers, networks, cell phones, desk phones, and vendor-specific hardware and software. This role also involves implementing internal systems and providing technical assistance to team members with system and network requests.

Responsibilities

  • IT Support relating to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems.
  • Support disaster recovery solutions.
  • Working knowledge of active directory, networking-DHCP, Gateways, TCP/IP, NAT, and how it relates to desktop troubleshooting.
  • Basic and more advanced technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
  • Basic and more advanced remote access solution implementation and support: VPN, Office 365, Egnyte, and Autodesk Cloud Connect.
  • Experience in LAN/PC administration (LAN, Active Directory, GPO, O365, backup/restore services).
  • System documentation of maintenance and upgrades.
  • Communication with users as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or planned network outages.
  • IT support relating to issues with the internal systems and network infrastructure.
  • Support services for Microsoft-related technologies: Windows Server, SQL, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, etc.
  • Implementation and maintenance of a remote monitoring and management system: update agent scripts, respond to alerts, monitor dashboard, and periodic system review.
  • Document maintenance for all computer systems and network infrastructure.
  • Visit job sites and branch offices to coordinate services as needed.
