Job description

SAIC is seeking a Software Tester position is to work with our Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) / System Simulation, Software and Integration (S3I) Customer on the Flight Mission Simulator / Digital (FMS/D) program located in Huntsville, AL. The Software Tester will be responsible for but not limited to the following: 

  • Develop, revise, and execute test cases, to ensure that all information systems, products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements.
  • Develop and revise Test Artifacts and Test Case Inputs for test scenarios.
  • Document and Verify Test Executions
  • Document and submit test case execution findings/issues to Senior Testers or Test Lead
  • Conduct Adhoc Testing on specific branch builds as required to support analysis and/or development
  • Conduct Adhoc Testing on specific branch builds as required to support collect mean time of Test Case execution - Provide data to Senior Tester or Test Lead
  • Conduct Network configurations and integration support of the Flight Mission Simulator/Digital product into the Integrated Battle Command Stations (IBCS) architecture.

Required Education:

  • High School degree and zero (0) degrees of experience

Required Clearance: 

  • Must possess an active Interim Secret security clearance to start with the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required

Required Skills: 

  • Experience with network configurations utilized to simulate data input or capture data
  • Experience integrating and troubleshooting software and hardware within a simulation environment
  • Knowledge of formal software qualification processes and artifacts as well as experience creating formal test documentation 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with automated test execution

  • Experience with Patriot Tactical Missile System

  • Experience with Atlassian Suite and/or Gitlab Suite

  • Linux
