POSITION SUMMARY

The Public Relations Specialist will support PR initiatives in regions across the Western Hemisphere for Bandai Namco's games. This role will help develop and execute actionable PR plans that maximize awareness and drive purchase interest in our products, working closely with cross-discipline publishing teams across our organization as well as outside partners and agencies. They will be responsible for being a media relations representative for their assigned products, helping devise and execute PR strategies, communicating regularly with press, and attending trade shows and events. 

Join us at our new campus in Irvine, California where a hybrid work schedule will be observed. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Assist in executing PR plans and activations that support Bandai Namco's products, working on video games from the company's diverse portfolio of owned IP, globally beloved anime franchises, and blockbuster titles from partner developers. 
  • Support the writing and editing of press materials, including product messaging, press releases, media alerts, and pitches. 
  • Support planning and coordination of physical PR activations including press tours, bespoke press events, and PR presence at major trade shows. 
  • Interact and develop relationships with press to foster positive engagement with Bandai Namco's products. 
  • Work closely with internal and agency PR teams as well as cross-functional teams in publishing to help coordinate PR needs (interviews, assets, event preparation).  
  • Aid in monitoring and reporting on PR campaign KPIs and develop proficiency with PR tools to produce regular performance reports as required by the team and company stakeholders. 
  • Be an effective ambassador for Bandai Namco Entertainment in and outside of the company, which includes effectively speaking and presenting to large groups. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field. 
  • 1+ years of relevant PR or marketing experience. 
  • Demonstrates initiative, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through. 
  • Familiarity with game, tech, and entertainment press. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with public speaking and presenting. 
  • Strong knowledge and passion for video games and anime culture and landscape. 
  • Work in a physically demanding environment that includes domestic and global travel for 25% or more of the year to major shows and PR events, including occasional weekend trade shows.

SALARY RANGE

$71,000.00 - $87,500.00 (annual)

Actual base salary will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, but not limited to, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
