Job description

Job Title: Intelligence Analyst

Opportunity

The role of this position is to provide scenario design support to create an intelligence exercise for joint service students in all intelligence disciplines at entry level training at Goodfellow AFB. The developers must have an in-depth knowledge of conventional warfare operations from the INDOPACOM AOR.ACE‑IOS and AFSERS Modeling and Simulation (M&S) technology will be used to execute the exercises. The ACE‑IOS scenario developer will design and develop ACE‑IOS assisted, and Master Scenario Event List, vignettes and scenarios for use in a comprehensive exercise that can support up to 140 student exercise participants per event. The events are spread throughout 3-8 notional venues such as AOC, ISRD, WOCs, MPC, etc. Exact venues to be determined by training cadre. The completed scenarios will be built to ensure the students are directly involved in a life‑like set of complex cues and responses. Government event directors will provide training objectives, conditions, and standards which require understanding of Strategic, Operational and Tactical doctrinal relationships and their respective battle spaces. This understanding is necessary to successfully construct realistic vignettes and scenarios. The scenario developer will code and automate all scenarios and vignettes in ACE‑IOS and ensure its interoperability with the ASFERS model portions of the scenario and vignettes. Incorporate ACE‑IOS visualization entities, models, activities, and simulations consistent with JADC2 and current National Security Strategy tenets.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the scenario design team and government leads to create a capstone exercise in the INDOPACOM AOR.
  • Act as primary scenario developer using ACE‑IOS to develop an immersive Air Force training exercise.
  • Perform technical development and consultant activities, coordinating between software engineers and government/military personnel to develop and deliver highly complex military scenario simulations.
  • Design, build, maintain, and populate simulation databases based on customer exercise requirements using tools such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Access, and Linux.
  • Support team researching and analyzing intelligence/related data support of threat studies.
  • Perform technical liaison activities, coordinating with military and government personnel to provide solutions to exercise issues.

Proposed salary range for this position is: $54,700 - $112,000.
