This position is tailored for judicial clerks planning to join Fish immediately after their clerkship. Consideration typically begins in the fall and continues through spring. We understand that judges' policies vary regarding application timing, so we accept applications year-round. Please confirm with your judge before applying. Who You Are
  • You have a strong background in science, engineering, mathematics, or a closely related field, preferably Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related life science degree.
  • You have 2+ years of patent litigation experience.
  • You hold an active membership in the state bar and meet CLE requirements.
  • You possess superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.
  • You enjoy analyzing complex legal issues with attention to detail.
  • You communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • You are enthusiastic about working in a team-oriented environment and contribute positively to team dynamics.

The salary range for this position is $235,000 - $390,000, depending on qualifications and experience, with adjustments for flexible schedules. Fish recognizes the value of clerkship experience and offers credit for compensation and seniority. A competitive bonus is also provided.
