Job description

Job Responsibilities & Requirements
Designs, develops, and maintains software applications for customers in the building industry while working as part of a cross-functional agile team. Collaborates with experienced engineers to deliver high-quality solutions and build technical expertise through hands-on development and continuous learning.
This position will work a hybrid schedule based out of our office in Denver, CO.
Responsibilities:
  • Write, test, and debug software under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of software applications and services.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and requirements reviews as opportunities to learn and grow technical skills.
  • Refactor existing code with guidance to improve maintainability, performance, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to understand business requirements and contribute to customer-focused solutions.
  • Create and maintain unit tests for assigned work.
  • Learn and apply established coding standards, development practices, and software engineering principles.
  • Seek feedback and mentorship to continuously improve technical and professional skills.
  • Support agile development processes including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 0-2 years of experience in software development, internships, co-op programs, academic projects, or related experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of programming fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, C++, or similar.
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle concepts.
  • Exposure to source control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps.
