About the Role: Accessibility Consultant
As an Accessibility Consultant at CCI, you'll collaborate with architects, developers, and building owners to ensure compliance with accessibility codes, making spaces more inclusive for people with disabilities. You'll work across a range of exciting projects, including:
- Stadiums, historical landmarks, performance venues, hotels, and retail spaces.
- Residential complexes, educational institutions, and corporate campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site field inspections and surveys to assess compliance with ADA and FHA standards.
- Travel to various project locations (up to 20% travel).
- Work closely with project teams to develop Universal Design Solutions that eliminate barriers and create accessible environments.
- Review architectural plans and construction documents for accessibility compliance.
- Provide clear, concise reports detailing observations, analysis, and recommendations.
Qualifications:
We are seeking candidates who:
- Have experience evaluating accessibility compliance in the built environment.
- Possess strong knowledge of federal and state accessibility laws, including ADA and FHA.
- Are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Excel in verbal and written communication, especially in technical reports.
- Can read and interpret construction plans, codes, and standards.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related fields.
- Experience with Bluebeam, Adobe, or similar software.
- Certifications such as Licensed Architect, CASp, RAS, or Certified Accessibility Inspector/Plan Examiner are a plus.
