IT SUPPORT TECHNICAN
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Clearance: Active Secret preferred
Reports to: PM
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an entry-level IT Support Technician to support day-to-day IT operations within a regulated Space and DoD program environment. This role is designed for early-career professionals or college students pursuing degrees in IT, Cybersecurity, or related fields who are interested in developing hands-on experience in secure systems administration.
The IT Support Technician works under the direction of the Systems Administrator to support endpoint provisioning, user access management, basic troubleshooting, and documentation within a CMMC Level 2–scoped environment. This role emphasizes learning, process adherence, and security-first operations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Information Technology
  • Computer Science
  • Cybersecurity
  • Or a related technical field
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
  • Foundational understanding of:
  • Windows operating systems
  • Basic networking concepts
  • IT support and troubleshooting fundamentals
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow documented procedures
  • Ability to learn and operate within a regulated, security-focused environment
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills

PERFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ (or coursework toward certification)
  • Familiarity with:
  • Active Directory concepts
  • Endpoint imaging or deployment tools
  • Microsoft 365 (GCC High exposure a plus)
  • Ticketing or asset management systems
  • Internship, lab, or hands-on experience in IT support or systems administration

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
End-User & Endpoint Support
  • Provide Tier 1 / Tier 2 support for approved hardware and software
  • Assist with imaging, configuration, and deployment of workstations and laptops
  • Troubleshoot basic system, application, and connectivity issues
  • Escalate complex or security-relevant issues to the Systems Administrator
Account & Access Support
  • Assist with provisioning, modifying, and decommissioning user accounts under supervision
  • Support Active Directory user and group management tasks
  • Process access requests and SAAR documentation with required approvals
  • Apply least privilege and separation of duties principles
Secure Operations & Compliance Support
  • Follow documented security procedures and operational checklists
  • Assist with implementing technical controls supporting CMMC Level 2 (NIST SP 800-171)
  • Collect logs, screenshots, and other technical evidence as directed
  • Support vulnerability remediation activities under supervision
Asset & Inventory Management
  • Assist with asset tracking, system inventories, and lifecycle documentation
  • Ensure devices and systems remain within authorized configurations
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for personnel and equipment
Documentation & Process Adherence
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed
  • Update SOPs, checklists, and inventories as directed
  • Ensure all actions are documented and traceable

COMPENSATION 
  • Salary Range: $15.16 per hour
