Job Summary:
By Light Professional IT Services LLC is a company that provides technology and systems to support defense, civilian, and commercial IT customers. They are seeking an Information Assurance Specialist I to support network operations and information security activities, assess security controls, and maintain security documentation.
Responsibilities:
• Support network operations and information security activities.
• Assess security controls based on cybersecurity principles and frameworks including NIST SP 800-53 and the Cybersecurity Framework.
• Support Security Assessment & Authorization (SA&A) processes and control implementation activities.
• Assist with continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization efforts.
• Identify vulnerabilities, security gaps, and mitigation recommendations.
• Support cybersecurity compliance, reporting, and documentation requirements.
• Maintain security documentation and operational records.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support security objectives
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Must meet DoDM 8140.03 IAT III/IAM II requirements.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in network operations and information security.
• Experience assessing cybersecurity security controls and compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of NIST security controls and SA&A methodologies.
• Experience supporting continuous monitoring and ongoing authorization activities.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.
