A Service Parts Industrial Engineer is responsible for optimizing material planning, flow, inventory management, and warehouse fulfillment processes within an aftermarket parts distribution environment. This role leverages data analysis, lean principles, engineered labor standards, and continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational efficiency, improve service levels, reduce costs, and enhance safety. The Industrial Engineer partners with warehouse operations, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, and IT teams to design and implement scalable solutions that support growing customer demand and aftermarket service requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and identify improvements within the Service Parts Planning software (Servigistics).
  • Analyze warehouse processes and workflows to identify opportunities for productivity, quality, and cost improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
  • Evaluate warehouse layouts, storage strategies, slotting optimization, and material handling systems to maximize space utilization and throughput.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and operational technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for material flow and planning opportunities within Service Parts.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting tools, and KPIs to monitor warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and service levels.
  • Partner with operations leadership to support staffing plans, peak-volume readiness, and long-term capacity planning.
  • Ensure solutions comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interface with Sales and Supply Chain representatives to increase throughput within the logistics and warehousing space.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and Service Parts Management software
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, work measurement, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with WMS, SPM, ERP systems, and Microsoft Power BI, Excel, or similar analytical tools.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.

Summary Pay Range:
$77,264.00 - $115,896.00
