Job description


Hilltop Holdings is seeking a Mortgage Incentive Compensation Analyst to be responsible for partnering with PrimeLending's production leadership to prepare, revise, implement and administer compensation arrangements designed and developed specifically for mortgage sales employees. Incumbents in this role will serve as a key client facing partner responsible for analyzing, interpreting and messaging information for the purpose of driving change management.
Responsibilities
  • Develop compensation addendums in accordance with company standards and management guidance
  • Prepare, maintain and track compensation plans, conducting analysis of plan attributes and making recommendations for plan amendments
  • Partner with Commission Analysts to ensure plan designs and calculations are built to specifications
  • Consult with multiple internal groups (i.e. Sales, Finance, HR, etc) on issues pertaining to all areas of sales compensation management
  • Responding to managers and/or employees, explains and interprets compensation plan elements; addresses concerns and follows up accordingly
  • May conduct internal and external competitive assessments; providing reports and analysis of data; making recommendations for modifications as appropriate
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers on the resolution of salary and/or incentive complaints/concerns
  • Maintain current knowledge on state and federal regulations impacting commissioned/highly incentivized employees
  • Partner with other groups to ensure employees are compensated in accordance with the compensation plan parameters; work to identify and resolve root cause of any discrepancies
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or minimum of at least 3 years mortgage related experience in sales compensation plan writing and design
  • Advanced time management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects with aggressive deadlines. Proactively checking in with manager to ensure alignment
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels within the organization
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent detail orientation, critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated judgment and decision making ability
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Expert level PC skills, with an emphasis Microsoft Office Suite Word and Excel programs
  • Strong customer service orientation
