KBR is seeking an HR Specialist, Compensation to support the Global Total Rewards team in the administration and delivery of compensation programs that enable the organization to attract, retain, and reward top talent. This role provides analytical and operational support across a broad range of compensation activities, including market pricing, salary survey participation, incentive plan administration, job evaluation, compensation reporting, and regulatory compliance. The HR Specialist partners closely with HR colleagues and business stakeholders to ensure compensation programs are administered accurately, consistently, and in alignment with company policies, market practices, and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in compensation surveys and benchmark analyses to ensure access to current and relevant market data.
  • Conduct market pricing analyses for executive and non-executive positions and provide compensation recommendations for hires, promotions, transfers, and other employee actions in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Support the administration of annual merit and incentive programs, ensuring accurate calculations and coordination for payroll processing.
  • Administer global incentive plan participation and employee communications related to compensation programs.
  • Maintain compensation data and ensure the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of information housed in compensation systems and databases.
  • Prepare standard and ad hoc compensation reports, metrics, and analyses to support management decision-making and workforce planning.
  • Assist in the preparation of Compensation Committee materials, supporting schedules, and Compensation Discussion & Analysis documentation.
  • Follow established compensation policies, procedures, and controls to support regulatory compliance, including SOX 404 requirements.
  • Contribute to compensation-related projects, process improvements, and special initiatives as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in compensation, total rewards, human resources, finance, or a related analytical function.
  • Experience supporting compensation administration, salary surveys, market pricing, or incentive programs.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems, compensation databases, and reporting tools.
  • Exposure to public company compensation practices and/or global compensation programs is preferred but may be gained through relevant work experience.

Professional Skills & Competencies

  • Working knowledge of compensation principles, market benchmarking methodologies, and salary administration practices.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other reporting or data analysis tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate compensation information clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with HR partners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation or progress toward certification.
  • Experience supporting executive compensation or equity compensation programs.
  • Experience administering global compensation or incentive plans.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements related to compensation processes.
  • Experience with compensation management systems, HR analytics tools, or workforce reporting platforms.
  • Prior experience supporting compensation activities within a large, complex, or multinational organization.
