Job description

The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, benefits, compensation, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong presentation and communication skills, ability to prioritize multiple tasks. The Human Resources Generalists will support the HR Manager with daily tasks.

Essential Duties:

  • Manage all facets of RMF benefits, negotiate annual rates with carriers. Intervene with carriers if required for employee issue resolution
  • Process and maintain employee benefits with carriers
  • Maintain Employee Records in HR and payroll system
  • Maintain and process employee performance reviews in HR system
  • Process multi- state Bi-weekly payroll in ADP Workforce Now
  • Assist with developing job descriptions and corporate policies
  • Partner with management to provide guidance and strategic objectives to align with organization's mission
  • Ensure business practices are compliant with HR laws, best practices and policies
  • Analysis Market trends and advise management on key metrics
  • Implementation and maintenance of Applicant Tracking System
  • Prepare/approve all offer letters to new hires
  • New Hire Orientation and onboarding and Exit Interviews
  • New Hire reporting for all states/ E-verify for new hires within 3 days of hire date
  • Update employee manual as required
  • Annual AAP update, Manage AAP audits with HR Manager
  • Act as council for Management regarding employee matters, providing input for resolution
  • Liaise between employees and management
  • Maintain ERISA compliance and 5500's

(Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000 annually. RMF considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years Human Resources experience required.
  • Degree in Human Resources Preferred
  • Proficient in MS PowerPoint for presentations
  • Ability to work overtime as needed during peak seasons
  • Strong Communication and written skills
  • Strong teamwork and work ethics
  • Must be able to pass a standard background check
  • Knowledge of Employment laws
  • Intermediate to advanced level of Excel and Word knowledge
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
