Under direction of Human Resource Manager implement and administer Human Resource programs including but not limited to recruitment, policy & procedure, safety, compensation and employee benefit programs for the company.

Requirements:
  • Oversee Benefit Planning and Administration
  • Overseeing the administration of all insurance and wellness plans through various carriers, including employee education, enrollment, and employee assistance in resolution of problems.
  • Coordination and administration of COBRA benefits.
  • Administer Payroll and Compensation Programs
  • Administer performance and compensation program; verifying that all annual reviews are conducted in a timely basis; monitor applicable market rate adjustments and prepare payroll changes for both market rate adjustments and other compensation changes.
  • Administers weekly payroll functions.
  • Provide Administration Support for Safety and Workers Compensation Programs
  • Process workers compensation claims, coordinate information between department supervision, insurance carrier and physicians; and oversee return to work program.
  • Maintain safety accountable scorecard information and update tracking log.
  • Oversee HRIS System Information and provide support to operations.
  • Responsible for the overall payroll processing, training and assisting users.
  • Data base maintenance of employee information through tracking software programs. Train and provide support to supervisors and management in these functions.
  • Provide HR Support for Training
  • Responsible for preparing training forms for employees.
  • Ensure training records are recorded promptly in the training database.
  • Provide HR support to employees and operations.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with Family and Medical leave, disability leave, and leaves of absence.
  • Work to maintain current, efficient policies that are effectively communicated to employees.
  • Works closely with the Human Resource Manager to coordinate and participate in disciplinary or termination proceedings.
  • Consistently maintains favorable and effective relations among employees
  • Provides support and training for supervisors and managers to ensure consistent, equal and fair treatment of their employees.
  • Directs recruiting activities, ensuring that properly qualified employees are hired for company positions.
  • Maintain compliance information for ADA, FLSA, HIPPA, ERISA, COBRA, and UIC requirements and provide responses for any claims.
  • Provide HR support to operations in developing and administering programs necessary in development, training, safety or other areas necessary.
  • Help to drive Operational Excellence at plant location.
  • Provide Human Resources support to Finance and Manufacturing areas by providing report information as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned

Academic/Educational Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar field, preferred.
  • 2+ years related experience and/or training in Human Resources field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Working knowledge of the Workers’ Compensation Act, OSHA, and other applicable state/federal statutes and regulations.
  • Ability to obtain facts that ensure information is complete and accurate.
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with co-workers, medical personnel and other business personnel.
  • Working knowledge of benefit programs such Health, Dental, Short Term Disability, Life and Accidental Death, Flexible Benefits, Section 125 regulations, 401k plans and ERISA regulations.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures, and applicable federal and state employment laws.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of personnel administration.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite: Ability to utilize technology to manage HR data and processes.
  • Working knowledge of FLSA and other payroll standards.
  • The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be energetic, forward thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image.
