Job Title: Junior HR SpecialistLocation: Washington DC

Introduction: Rivet Operations Company ("Rivet") has an opening for a Junior HR Specialist to join our rapidly growing team in the Washington DC area. Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the Department of Defense (DoD) and a leader in physical and cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, process improvement and development.

The Junior HR Specialist provides foundational support in human resources operations, focusing on administrative tasks, data entry, and assisting senior HR staff with routine classification and staffing activities. This position is ideal for individuals beginning their HR career in a federal environment, applying established procedures under close supervision.

Primary Duties:

Supports classification actions for routine, lower-grade positions by: Reviewing position descriptions and organizational structures Retrieving position descriptions and assisting in preparation of classification reports Identifying identical/additional positions Supporting entry-level HR coding and standard data entry tasks Supporting desk audits under supervision Maintain HR files, records, and documentation in compliance with agency standards Enter, update, and retrieve data in HR systems for personnel actions and reports Ensure proper coding for HR actions using established guidelines Reconcile organizational records with master personnel files
